Neuro Cardiology

  Neuro cardiology refers to the pathophysiological interaction to the nervous and cardiovascular systems. The specialty that deals with the brain-heart connection is known as Neuro cardiology.  This is the great deal of research has been going to define the neuroanatomical and functional organization of the autonomic nervous system which controls cardiac function. The neuro cardiac vertical links the nervous and cardiovascular systems to physiological problems such as: stroke, epilepsy and arrhythmias. This clinical issues in Neuro cardiology include the neurogenic stress cardiologist, cardiovascular findings in patients with primary neurological disease, neurologic sequel of cardiac and thoracic surgery cardiac interventions and hypoxic-ischemic brain injury.
